Would it be possible to add something to test telling apart items you confuse easy? for example, 和 and 知(especially when you covered 和 a month ago and and 知 all new), or 天, 夭 and 夫. I imagine a question integrated into reviews where it gives you a meaning and a sound and you pick the matching item from a set of confusing items, and some interface to define sets of confused items.

I can see this being a part of a larger feature we’ve been thinking about, which is “Lists” generally – a way to curate and create lists depending on the topic, and launch into a custom study session.
At the moment we do have “Visually Similar Characters” if we’re able to detect similarity through components, but it’d be nice to expand this too ![]()
Having to type in every answer is a strong point of HanziHero, but I do think having variety in the answering methods would make it more enjoyable perhaps
– so having a multi-choice like the one you outline would be pretty cool! I guess it’d be filed under another “custom study” if we were to implement it
