I just recently started using hanzihero as an intermediate learner (skipping HSK 1-2) and I like it so far, but I’ve noticed a pain point while going through lessons on my phone. As there’s no mobile app I’ve added the website to my home screen on Android via Firefox, but the downside is that it seems to automatically refresh if I switch between apps after a certain period of time passes. This is normally fine but that means I lose my progress while doing lessons if I don’t do a whole batch all at once.
I’ve set my lesson batch size to 3 but right now since I’m still getting started I sometimes get into a state where I’ve done 1-2 lessons, need to skip a bunch of words that I already know, and don’t have the time to get to the lesson quiz at the end before I have to switch apps/put my phone down and lose my progress.
I don’t remember if it saves the words I skipped, but this basically means I have to do lessons on my computer. It would be great if there were a “wrap up session early” kind of feature where I can just jump directly to the quiz regardless of how many lessons I’ve viewed.
As a workaround, I guess there could also be a setting that I can turn on to stop Firefox from force refreshing the page but haven’t looked into that yet.
