Apologies if this has been posted before but I couldn’t find it if it has.
I would love a feature that shows visually similar characters. Some characters have very small differences, like white and day or cow and noon. It would be aweosme if in the review section you could see these characters side by side and see the differences between them for quick reference.
We actually have the code for this in place, but lack the data.
I was able to find some similarity data for Japanese Kanji that I was hoping to go through and manually edit to adapt to Chinese characters, but I think that would only mainly help for traditional characters. I think what we will end up doing is something a bit more advanced where we do image comparison for the raw character glyphs as a first step. Not sure when we will get to it though.
I don’t know if it would be any easier to add a “compare” feature then just let the user search for an item to compare. For instance if I was on the walking eye component, I would love to be able to look up the shellfish component and do a side by side comparison.
