October 26th 2024 Simplified Curriculum Update

This week’s update is mainly “maintenance” tasks on our end where we do a broad cleaning up of the curriculum which generates the huge changelog below.

Notably, this week we:

  • Made sure all infinitive verb forms are fully highlighted in ALL mnemonics. So if before it was “||Tasty|| describes something that is ||good|| to ||eat||”, it will now be “||Tasty|| describes something that is ||good|| ||to eat||”. This hopefully makes things a bit more clear and consistent.
  • Updated all of HSK3 and HSK4 characters and words that only contain <= HSK4 characters to have infinitive verb form (e.g., “to eat” instead of “eat”) where applicable. Also adding and cleaning up the alternate meanings even for non-verb words and characters.

While the changelog is huge, keep in mind that none of the changes below are “breaking” in any sense. None of these items have changed in any significant way, they’ve just been polished a bit here and there. These changes are just some house-keeping on our end to continue to improve the overall quality of the curriculum items we have added over the past two years.
