New HSK 3.0 changes

I understand 3.0 is now finally approaching its final form, which seems to deviate somewhat form what HanziHero has implemented so far. Will there be changes made to account for it?

Absolutely! Thanks for surfacing this  I’m surprised they changed it again

Out of curiosity is that Absolutely a ā€œdefinitely one day when we get around to itā€ thing or a ā€œwe’re already doing it right now in the backgroundā€ kinda thing?

I’m interested because I was looking round for the data needed to update https://chinesefrequencydictionary.com/ and found a reddit post that lead to a github repo with the updated lists for each band. But I’m wondering if there’s a better more official source … and if you were already working on it then mind sharing your data source? :stuck_out_tongue:

I haven’t yet started the work on this, but I think the resource you shared seems fine/reliable. One thing to watch out for would be OCR errors

The README made me chuckle a little.

I just realized how they did stick with calling it 3.0 instead of bumping the version. Hopefully that won’t cause too much confusion

This has been bugging me so much since the announcement in December. Like, if they’re completely revamping the entire exam anyway, why bother calling it ā€œnewā€ 3.0?? just call it 4.0 or 3.1 :smiling_face_with_tear:
