By learning vocabulary, do you mean immersion material, or just covering a wider range of vocabulary that isn’t covered by HanziHero? We have over 5k words in the simplified course which should cover most that you come across 
For words that are not added, you can use the Dictionary (in beta) to add anything that would be found in CEDICT which should cover the remaining words you come across.
Let me know if the above two are not sufficient! Or perhaps you just want a different method on picking up vocabulary. If so I would be curious of compliments/alternatives too 
My understanding is that HH is great for learning character. The vocab section is meant to reinforce character learning, which is useful for learning character. However, I have noticed some of the vocabs are not very useful words, or even different words would be used much more commonly. For example: zuo2ri4 and zuo2tian1. It has the same meaning, but zuo2tian1 is much more widely used, and I expect when using tools that focus on learning vocab, we probably don’t need to learn zuo2ri4 or at least not until much later since it’s less common.
