“Known” button for known terms you’re reviewing?

Button to mark a card as known without having to type out the pinyin or meaning for that review? It would save me a hell of a lot of time for terms I know well

Thanks

You could just mark the card as “skip” if you’re feeling extra confident about an item. Otherwise, typing out the pinyin is part of checking if you really remember the whole thing.

No doubt. But I’ve been learning mandarin for two years now, there is no planet where I don’t know 是 is shi4 and 和 is he2,

I want to be able to not have to type, and simply mark myself if I got it wrong. Since there is no point in cheating

Well, again, the skip button would essentially work in this way, and I wouldn’t necessarily call it cheating.

The functionality you’re describing is already seen in Anki, where you could just upload sets of characters and words by HSK level.

One other approach would be if implemented the dynamic SRS system or FSRS; this also exists in Anki, if you’re really leaning toward something a little more dynamic.

Yeah, the throughput required to get through Reviews can be exhausting since you have to type out everything.

I still don’t have an answer to this at this time, unfortunately, seeing as typing in the pinyin/answer is something we think is what makes the stuff stick memory wise.

But I’ll see if I can come up with something, or maybe we do introduce such a functionality after all
