I think 降 (simplified, female voice) is incorrect

I heard 降 jiang4 as jiang3 in simplified Chinese, female voice, is it correct or not?

To my ears I do hear a downward tonal shift that signifies it as tone 4 :thinking:
We can try regenerating it to see if the down shift is more abrupt/apparent, maybe, but I think this is probably the best we’re going to get most likely :slight_smile:

If you listen closely and compare the two, the jiang3 one has the tone go up towards the end, whereas jiang4 just drops off with no upward tonal shift towards the end.

It could be more clear, but I think it is sufficient. I tried regenerating it locally and the regenerated one unfortunately sounds worst. (We need to probably start looking into better TTS providers!). So we will keep as-is for now.
