I have been away from HanziHero for a few months and come back. I see the total number of reviews the weekly HanziHero Weekly Progress Report email (currently 938! ). I would like to be able to check that number somewhere in the dashboard, but I can’t see it. Am I missing something or is it not viewable in the dashboard, only in the email?
If it’s just not there, I can understand that you want to not show the user that number for fear of scaring them away. But it would be nice to able to see it somewhere if I want to, like folded away or in the settings page, or after clicking on on the ‘Upcoming Reviews’ heading. For me, I like seeing the number come down over time so it’s motivating and gives me a goal to aim for.
I’m pretty sure it’s because you have a Daily Review Limit in your settings set to some value. So it will never show you any more than your limit’s number of reviews. If you simply change your review limit to None then you’ll see all of them on the red Reviews button on the main dashboard.
I don’t think it’s possible to have a limit but also see the total since the whole point of a limit is to hide the big number from people who are intimidated by it. When I had a large backlog after a break I had the review limit set to None so I could see it, and simply use the wrap up button to end my session every day until it was clear. No need for a review limit that way.
