I feel that (Prioritized, Skipped, Neutral) make sense as a category, but Unknown and Learned are functionally similar to SRS stages. If you moved these over I could filter for (Unknown Skipped) or (Learned Skipped) which I often want to do.
I would also like to skip learning new items for certain HSK levels but continue practicing my learned items. I recommend that you allow subsets of notes to be selected with the same filtering rules as the Curriculum page and allow me to change their Skipped, Prioritized, or maybe even Learned status at the same time. You may wish to hide this with a big warning like you do HSK skipping. You could also say “this will cause x cards and y cards to merge, which you won’t be able to easily undo”. If one of x and y is small, it will then be clear that this isn’t a very risky move.
Yeah, I would love some opinions on better filters/sorts. The statuses/SRS stages do have some overlap as things stand.
Moving the Unknown and Learned to the SRS stages makes a lot of sense. Those filters of “Unknown Skipped” / “Learned Skipped” are quite useful
Yeah, the biggest issue here is how to allow one to efficiently select and apply these bulk actions. I’ve sketched out some things here before, like entering a “Selection Mode” which allows you to check off which ones you want to change or not, but there’s probably a tedium to that instead of just applying these actions on a set, e.g. to skip all Learned HSK 3 characters.
Ah, I see the issue here. One may learn some items from HSK 2, and then decide to skip past the rest of HSK 2, but that also sets the skip status for all those Learned HSK 2 items.
For starters, I can see us solving the above by adding more robust filtering on the curriculum pages.
