(Feature Request) Ability to listen to pronunciation after entering meaning

As of now, you can only listen to the pronunciation (i.e. pressing the P key) after the pronunciation review. However, I think you should be able to listen to it after the meaning review as well. Personally, I like to play the pronunciation fairly constantly as I’m reviewing as it links the hanzi, meaning, and pronunciation together in my mind.

Sometimes I also think that I would like this feature, but the problem is that if the meaning card shows up before the pronunciation card it would just give you the answer before you have the chance to recall it yourself.

True. I forgot that I set reading to always appear before meaning.

I suppose the solution would be to check whether the user has already completed the reading, if it’s not too hard to do so.

This principle could be applied in reverse as well – if the user has completed the meaning before the reading, show the definition.

That’s a good point. I think we can make it so that the pronunciation button is enabled on meaning questions as long as the pronunciation question for that item has already been answered in that session. I’ll file an item in our backlog to do this.

This change has now been implemented! The audio button should no longer be disabled on meaning questions provided the related pronunciation question has already been successfully answered within the current session.
