Anyone else get constantly thrown off by a three-character word where only the first two characters are highlighted? I end up trying to answer for 矿泉 here and not 矿泉水. Really frustrating.

It looks like the 水 character was “skipped”, so to signal that we faded it out a little bit. I’ll see if I can think of a different way to signal that the character was skipped ![]()

Ah, I see now. The highlight/bold on the characters is much more prominent to me than the underline, so I wonder if that highlight could always be used for the full word, and maybe the “skip” indicator alone is enough to show that the character had been skipped? This is probably less an issue when not viewing the target word in a sentence, but in a sentence this definitely causes me confusion consistently.
