I occasionally find words that aren’t in the HH list that I’d like to add once I know all the characters. e.g. I’m still finishing off the HSK2 list but I looked up 极了 and realised that 极 is an HSK 3 character so not that far off. I don’t want to prioritise it yet since I do want to finish out the HSK2 character list first, but I’ve seen 极了 a few times in my input, so eventually I’d love to have it as a word. Pretty sure my only option currently is to prioritise it so it inserts itself right now.
I would love to just change 极了 to be a valid HH word option when 极 gets learnt, without having to manually remember and come back to add it. So a “prioritise after characters are learnt” button!
You know what - it’s actually the Automatically prioritise characters checkbox I didn’t remember existed. I have that checked - I just need to un-check it and I"ll get what I want.
Edit: Nope actually that’s not right, it just adds the dictionary word without requiring the characters.
I’m just after a way to add the word when I naturally get up to those characters. Right now adding the word is immediate. I might not get to the 极 for 3 months … I want this word to show up then, in 3 months time. I want to tag it now as a “remember to teach me this when all characters are available”.
If you have the settings exactly like how I have them in the picture, then dictionary words only show up after the characters reach Novice 2. Today I got 首 to Nov 2, after which the dictionary word 首都 became available to learn. I added this word in a huge batch of words months ago. What I think is wrong on your end is that you haven’t hit “Enable”
