I really don’t know if my posts fits in the correct category, let me know if i can move it somewhere else.
I love HH interface, method and also the way we’re tested simultaneously for prononciation and meaning.
Actually i’m doing HH + Pleco flashcards for the words missings on the curiculum + Migaku for sentence mining during tv shows immersion.
I also consider going through a good sentence deck with native audio on Anki.
I’m thinking that the easiest way to simplify all that process could be to migrate my Pleco & Migaku cards to Anki.
I wonder if anyone managed to create an Anki card model that replicate the double type test used in HH ?
No advice on the on mirroring the HH setup, but I just got the chinese grammer wiki deck setup with azure tts with the HyperTTS extension and it is fantastic. Considering abandoning my paid spoonfed chinese deck w/ native audio altogether because the tts is comparable and I get so much more per sentence with the grammer wiki cards.
np! a few of the nice things about hypertts w/ azule is that you can create a pool of random voices to be selected for your flashcards and they still sound natural slowed down. I currently have my deck set up with 5 totally different mandarin voices that start at 0.8x speed at the beginning of the deck and gradually get faster
I know Anki has a way to do a typed input box. I think the closest approximation is doing that then having a “pronunciation” and “meaning” test card.
We are currently working on adding a way of reviewing a subset CEDICT - Wikipedia dictionary entries (this is the free popular source of data for most apps out there) within HanziHero through the same typed-entry quiz interface for specifically this use case. Hope to have a beta out sometime next month.
