I’m a professional physicist, studying elementary particle theory. I work a lot on understanding the nature of the Higgs boson and searches for new particles and forces at collider experiments, such as the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.

I’ve been studying Chinese on and off for over a decade, but always struggled building a vocabulary base and getting to a level where I felt comfortable reading anything outside the classroom. I’m also interested in other East Asian languages, and the structure of their speaking and writing systems in general.
