Maybe a stupid question from me 😅 but what is this site’s homepage referring to when it refers to Pinyin fragments ?

“80+
Pinyin fragments we’ve made to make sure you never mix up a tone again”

Not at all a stupid question 🙂

I use the term “pinyin fragment” as an alternative way to describe what our [sound items](https://hanzihero.com/sounds) are: you need to combine sound items in order to derive the pinyin for a character/word.

This is more evident with our [pinyin chart](https://hanzihero.com/pinyin-chart) – hence the term “pinyin fragments”

I suppose it would just be better to substitute “Sounds” in there 😅

Thank you! That makes sense. It had occurred to me whether the text actually meant sound items but then I thought it refers to 80+ Pinyin fragments but there are only 74 sound items (plus I was confused about the reference to getting the “tones” mixed up)! 🧐 😅

You’re right 🤔 I’ve updated it to reflect the number of sound items, as well as use the word “Sounds” too. Thanks for the report!
