# Duan4 duàn male audio wrong

The male audio for duan4 sounds like it’s saying a completely different sound, like ‘bai’ or ‘butt’.

I tried all four of the voices we have (male/trad, mainland/taiwan), and they all sound fine to me. Are you using male or female voice?

FWIW, I asked a few friends to guess what was being said and they heard “butt,” “bun,” and “ban” but no one said duan.

It sounds like ‘duan4’ to me. Though I’m not sure if there’s been a change since yesterday. I didn’t listen before today.
